Baseball Chapel Ministry

Hello all! I hope this finds you in good spirits.

I wanted to tell you all about something exciting that God has done. As some of you are aware, I have been involved in a ministry called Baseball Chapel this season. It's a ministry where I get the privilege of getting to know the professional baseball teams and their players & staff in "la Zone Norte" (the north zone) of the Mexican Professional League. Under the leadership of my friend Gerardo Uribe, we personally minister to the home team in Torreón, México called Los Vaqueros Laguna every Saturday home game, as well as the visiting team and umpires.

As we have been ministering to Los Vaqueros throughout this season, the majority of the team has really taken to Jesus Christ! We have seen them start second to last in the zone from fighting between 4th and 5th place to now being in the playoffs for la Zona Norte!!! Some have become Christians for the first time ever; praise be to Jesus! They have trusted in God and now they find themselves entering to the playoffs! It's such an exciting time for my friends of the team.

They play the highest ranking team of Mexico City, Los Diablos Rojos Saturday, August 1st at 4 p.m. Please be praying that God continues to bless them and change each member of the ball club. Our main theme this season has been to dedicate your all to Jesus and watch as He blesses you, win or lose. Many have believed on that simple message and they have come a long way! Pray that they continue to guard that message in their hearts even after the season has ended.

If they win against Los Diablos Rojos, they will play in the Mexican World Series! Join us in prayer and the excitement as they continue to give their all to Jesus.
